For the last 2 weeks Jack and I have been going to a Parent & Me swimming class. Jack has learned lots of fun things and is really comfortable in the water now. We are proud of our little Jack!

Our Saturday
We decided to be brave and take Jack to see his first movie. You can't go wrong with a Pixar movie and Dan has been eagerly awaiting the release of Toy Story 3! Jack was great for us, we didn't even have to stand up with him once. The movie was pretty good too!
Later that afternoon we spent some time in the garden digging up our potatoes. We planted them a little late the bugs had also gotten to them so we decided to cut our losses. In their place we planted basil, cilantro, green peppers, anaheim peppers, orange sweet peppers, and cuccumbers .
Here is our future gardner in the making.

Beach Camping
Ever since we moved to California we have wanted to camp on the beach. Dan finished up school last week, and so we made reservations at Doheny State Park to celebrate school being over.
Camping is so much fun with our Jack. He is always being goofy about something!
The sun came up around 5 a.m. and so did Jack. We didn't want to wake the other campers so we decided to take a walk along the beach barefoot. It was really nice to have the beach all to ourselves, with the exception of a couple of surfers, and some nice homeless guys who spent the night on the beach.
One morning we decided to peddle along the beach in style! We rented this Surrey and went adventuring.
Jack thought it was awesome. Everyone we passed would just smile at Jack, and as you can imagine Jack loved the attention.
One afternoon we went to Salt Creek, one of our favorite beaches. We got there during low tide so we explored the tide pools and found some cool stuff.

Little vacations are great but getting back to real life is great too!
