Fresno Here We Come!

We have been doing a lot of celebrating around our house over Dan's new job! He got a job near Fresno as a Research Biologist and will be starting the first of the year. We spent last weekend looking for a house to rent and found one really loved.

After years of schooling we are so excited to finally grow up and move on with our lives. However it is a bitter sweet experience because of all the friends we are leaving behind in Riverside. Today us girls had one last hurrah and went out to lunch. I am sure going to miss all of you!

Christmas Cookies Anyone?

One of my friends threw a Christmas cookie exchange party! I made Chocolate Peppermint Pinwheel Cookies, you can get the recipe here if you are interested :) I walked away with some pretty yummy cookies.

The end of our tunnel

Two weeks ago Dan defended his Thesis. This included giving a 45 minute presentation on his research in front of professors and graduate students, followed by his commitee members asking questions. I was able to go and listen to the presentation, most of which was way over my head, but it was still fun to watch him! He ended up passing the thesis defense which was a relief. This week Dan turned in the final copy of his Thesis manuscript to the Graduate Division. It is a crazy feeling to be done after 6 1/2 years of college, but it definitely feels good. We are sure proud of our Dan!
