Take me out to the ball game!

So we decided to hit up another Angel's baseball game before the season is over. We went on a promotional night and got these stylin' hats! The cheap tickets were sold out online so we decided to try our luck with the scalpers! Dan and Seth were able to negotiate and get us some decent tickets by third base.
It was Big Bang Friday, which meant a pretty awesome firework show after the game! Jack actually didn't mind them :)
After the game we hung out by the exit where there are usually some player sightings. Billy Mac, the voice of the Angel's, wandered out and thought Jack was cute. We used Jack to our advantage and got a picture with him! He was a really cool guy.
We aren't sure who this is, but our guess is it is someone cool since they are rollin' in a Lamborghini!

Big Boy

Jack has recently been making some ground breaking progress. He started to sit up like a big boy in his stroller instead of reclining in his car seat. He also has started to roll over all by himself! It is quite fun to see him conquer new things!

San Diego

We decided that is was time for a little trip before school starts for Dan next week. So we packed up and traveled south for an hour and a half to San Diego! We visited the harbor and got to see some amazing ships!

We visited Cabrillo National Monument. Dan and Jack had fun exploring the tidepools!The lighthouse was really cool. It was the first lighthouse I have been to. The outlook was breathtaking!

We stopped by Old Town San Diego. We ate lunch at this Mexican restaurant and watched these girls dance to mariachi music. It was very authentic, or as authentic as touristy places get!

La Jolla Beach was beautiful. It was overcast and felt great as we walked along the coast. I could have stayed there all day!

We also stopped at the San Diego Temple. I have seen it from the freeway, but have never stopped.

We found this little sandwich shop called 'Devine Pastabilities'! They made these pasta sandwiches. Dan had a lazagna sub.

Every time I went for a drink, Jack would start sucking on the cup! He makes us laugh :)

A Piece of Cake?

Some friends and I decided it would be fun to take a cake decorating class at Michaels! This was our first week of decorating a cake and it definitely wasn't a piece of cake! Our instructor made things look so easy when she demonstrated, my dreams of glorious cakes were soon crushed when I started my own! However with a little practice I started feeling more confident.

Our Weekend

Our weekend was a fun one. Jack went to his first Angels game! He watches the Angels on TV with his dad all of the time, but he got to see them in person which was much cooler :)

We went to the game with a bunch of friends. Jack liked sitting next to his buddy Gavin.
We also went to the beach this weekend. This was Jack's third beach trip.

Jack's buddies Lincoln and Jake are always nice to him even though he is a lot smaller than they are!

I finally did it!

So I have been debating for weeks whether or not to cut my hair. It has just been hard to wear my long hair down with Jack grabing at it. Anyway, after getting sick of it and justifying that Locks of Love would be for a good cause, I finally did it!

Talking Jack

It is finally here!

BYU Football season is finally here! We were totally psyched cause the game was on ESPN and we were able to watch it! We went to a friends house and watched the game with a bunch of friends. So Dan was excited to introduce Jack to his first BYU Football game, and it didn't go over as we would have hoped. Jack got really scared every time we all cheered and would not stop crying. We ended up leaving the party during the 3rd quarter and watched the rest of the game at home. Even when we tried to keep our excitement to a low roar, Jack still started crying. Sufficed to say, his first BYU game wasn't the best of times. He does have a cold right now and his dad is hoping that this is the cause of all the crying :)

LA County Fair

We decided to check out the LA County Fair on Saturday. It is definitely a lot bigger then the county fairs in Utah. We went and checked out the farm animals. Dan and I were getting a kick out of watching the city folks looking at the farm animals. Our favorite was when a dad pointed to a cow and told his child 'Isn't that a cool horse!' Nice!

This reminded me of the good old days of 4-H. I used to love entering my stuff in the fair. Getting ribbons is so satisfying!Now this is my kind of store! Although, chocolate covered pickles don't sound appetizing.

Dan just had to try a deep fried snickers. Doesn't that just have clogged arteries written all over it? I took a bite, but that was enough for me! Dan loved it.
