Sea World

While my sister is visiting us, we decided to take a day off, make the trip to San Diego and check out Sea World. It was her first time, Jack's first time (of course), my first since I was 10, Dan's first since he started acting older than 10, which was 4 years ago (I'm not dissing on Dan, that's his own joke). Here's a pic of the crew minus one, waiting for the Shamu show to start. Jack was taking a cat nap at the time, trying to beat the heat (it was pretty darn HOT).The one and only SHAMU!!!By the look on his face, you can tell that Jack is still unsure of dolphin kisses. Our little fam, right after Jack made his first appearance out of his long morning slumber, he is still a little groggy here. He really slept from 7 am til 1pm, only breaking to sleep eat for a few minutes. I think the heat made him sleepy. He was really good though, such a little trooper.

I got to touch my first Starfish!!!

We love Happy Jack!

The Sea Lion show was one of my favorites.

We tried to give Jack his first encounter with a bat ray. This picture is right before he spit up in the tank. I hope rays like regurgitated milk!

Dan and Jack with the flamingos, this is about as much sun as Jack got the whole day, we were really freaky about keeping him out of it, I wish we could say the same about ourselves!

We had a great time at Sea World. By the end of the day, I was wishing that it was me that Dan was carrying over his shoulder, Lucky Jack!

First Beach Trip

On Saturday we took Jack to the beach for the first time!

Here is Jack stylin' in his new swimming attire.
We had to get his feet wet, since it was his first time to the beach and all. He didn't like it.
Dan taught my sister how to boogie board.

And I got a tan :)

Jack slept...

and slept some more!

All and all it was a great day at the beach!

First Date

My little sister was able to babysit Jack the other night while Dan and I went on a date. It was our first date out without Jack! We went with the Teagues to Izzy's, a cute little mexican restaurant, and then went to the batting cages. Here are some cool action shots of us!

Our Little Man

It has been awhile since I have posted pictures of Jack. Below is a picture of him during his happy time this morning. He has been doing really well with sleeping at night. Last night was a big success, we put him down at 9pm and he didn't cry at all before going to sleep! He only woke me up twice to eat between 9pm and 7:30am!

We like to take Jack grocery shopping with us. He usually starts out looking around at his new surroundings, but shortly after will fall asleep. With him in the cart we don't have much room for groceries!

My sister Kailee is visiting us for a couple of weeks. We had delicious hamburgers the other day that her and Dan barbecued!

Jack had his 6 week check up this week. Our little man is 13 lbs 8 oz! And yes, from the picture you can see that he had to get two shots. He cried for about 10 seconds and then was fine.

They are Home!

Dan, Jack, and I drove up to Utah last week to see his parents. After serving a mission in Argentina for the last 3 years we were able to see them once again! It was so much fun to see them at the airport.

Jack and Oma.

Even Addie and Jack had balloons to welcome Oma and Opa home!

Hanging out with Family

We had so much fun hanging out with family! Here are Dan and Jack chillin' with our nephew Eric. Here is our cute niece Claire hugging Jack.

Jack hanging out with his cousin Addison. She is 2 1/2 months older than Jack.

We were able to get a 4 generation picture when Dan's grandma came to visit. Jack even smiled for the picture!
We went with the nephews and nieces to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Here is Dan offering Jack to the shark. I personally love Celia and Eric watching in horror!
