Thanksgiving Week

My family came to visit for Thanksgiving week! My little brother came home from his mission 2 weeks ago so it was really fun to see him again. This is Jack with my mom:

We spent 2 days in San Diego. Here we are at Sea World. It was super nice weather, however after riding a couple of the water rides we were pretty cold!

Here we are at Cabrillo National Monument.

We went to Pacific Beach to watch the sun set. It was amazing!

We went on the ferry to Coronado Island at San Diego. It was pretty fun!

Jack experienced his first Thanksgiving! He ate sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes.

We continued our Black Friday tradition this year by waking up at 3am and shopping! We took my brother and sister with us, it was their first time. Jack was lucky that Grandma was willing to watch him or else we would have dragged him along for the ride :)Here is Dan with our spoils! Grandma and Grandpa gave Jack a Christmas present early because there was no room for it in their car!

Sitting Up

Jack has been doing really well at sitting up lately. I am proud of his straight posture!

Sunday morning Jack was taking a little nap before church. When I went to wake him up I saw this... It was a little chilly that morning and Jack decided to roll himself into a nice cozy burrito!

Yardwork

A couple of days ago I decided that our flower beds and garden needed weeding. It has been in the low 80's recently and quite nice during the day. I let Jack enjoy the outdoors in his Exersaucer while I worked. He loved watching the sprinkler move back and forth.

The great thing about living in Southern California is that growing season is a year round thing. We took out our summer garden a month ago and planted our winter garden. It consists of carrots, peas, beets, broccoli, and green onions.

Swap Meet Saturday

We decided to go check out a Swap Meet in Rubidoux Saturday morning! It was way fun to walk around and see all the random stuff. Anything you could possibly want was there.

Here I am with the goods. We got this brand new frying pan for 10$, 4 kids books for $1, and a nice pair of scissors for $1.

What a cheezer!

Dan and I are probably the only ones that think this movie is hilarious. To be honest, we think everything Jack does is funny! I especially love this video because it shows how Jack has started to purposely smile when he sees the camera.

First Halloween

This was not only Jack's first halloween, but our first halloween dressing up too! We were a cute little jungle family. Dan was the explorer, I was a lion, and Jack was our little gorilla. After three halloween parties in a week's time Jack was happy to be done with his full body costume!

Dan grew his facial hair for his costume. I think it looked pretty good!
