We started our 4th of July out early, try 5:00 am! At 6am we picked up our friends, Seth and Cindy, and headed to San Diego. In order to get a good spot at the beach we showed up early. Dan and Seth were all about exploring the beach, which means that Cindy and I dragged along. In the tidpools they found a couple of these huge slugs and some other creatures. 
Dan and Seth found this really really long kelp and pulled it till they found the end.
While Cindy and I were laying out Dan and Seth got bored so they went walking down the beach. While walking they saw a group of people making a sand couch. We decided to make a couch of our own!
We had a lot of people that walked by and smiled at us, or commented on how cool our couch was. It was pretty sweet!
4th of July at the bay was pretty cool. We watched the sun set and played cards. Then at 9pm we watched a bunch of different firework shows all at once. It was really neat and I tried to take a picture of it, however it just wasn't the same as being there and the pics didn't really turn out!

We watched the Stadium of Fire with some natives from San Diego. They said the fireworks down there in San Diego are really cool and that the places who do the programs all work together to plan the festivities. I think there is also suppose to be music that goes along with it or maybe at least one year there was music. Anyway, sounds like you guys had a blast in the rays of the sun!!!
I am so jealous! Looks like a great day on the beach.
The Fourth was awesome! We had such a good time. Especially making our way sweet sand couch! lol. Everyone was jockin' it big time! Gotta love it. We definitely need to make another beach trip. Next time in the stang with the top down. Whaooo hooo!
