A Thanksgiving in Riverside

Most people travel to see family for the holidays. We stayed home, while my family traveled to spend Thanksgiving with us! They spent a couple of days here, one of which was spent at Universal Studios.
We decided to be very unconventional this year and spend Thanksgiving at the beach! We built some pretty awesome sand castles! Here is Jared and Shaylese with theirs.

And here is our castle, topped with a toy story flag we made from garbage we found on the beach.

Dan and Jake found out that they could do some pretty cool matrix moves in the sand.
We had a bonfire complete with hot dogs and smores! The Black Friday tradition lived on this year as we woke up at 3:15 am and got some pretty cool stuff! Thanks to my parents coming to babysit for two years in a row now, the tradition has gone on now for 5 years!
We went and checked out the lights and Mission Inn and saw the Festival of Trees at the convention center.
Jack's first encounter with Santa was pretty rough!
We put up all of our Christmas decorations today! We are so excited for December :)
